so um. hi there!

no solid news at this point, but just enough time for a quick update.

without counting any unhatched chickens, i suspect i may have a job offer from old employer within a few weeks. which means i'll have to choose between two jobs (you know, ifthey decide they want me, because the last thing i need right now is to jinx something by being too confident).

so yes, i may be choosing between two jobs. in a cruel twist of fate, it may be happening about the same time that my husband learns that he has none.

it's all up in the air, and it's the risk we took with a contract gig, but it still sucks and it's still stressful. i will say this, though, it doesn't suck nearly as much as it did being unemployed several years ago when i was broke and in more debt and with no savings.

i mean, it would suck really hard to go through our savings (which is technically what's left over from my dad's life savings and that sort of kills me to think about), but at least it's there, you know? i think we'd maybe be ok for like a month or so without any income. maybe more, if we were especially thrifty. before we would have been flat broke within a single pay period. so i guess that's progress.

who knows.

healthwise, there is lots going on, but at the same time it's nothing new. same old shit. possible operations, pesky infertility, tons of medications. blah blah blah.

so you know, you're not really missing much when i go months without updating. isn't that comforting?
