the monday interview has been indefinitely postponed. the recruiter called to tell me that they had some "shifting priorities" at the last minute, and they won't be hiring anyone for that role at the moment. she said they might reopen it in a few months, and they'd still like to talk to me then. she even offered to still have me come in on monday, but wtf-ever. i've got the day off and i'm not wasting it meeting a bunch of people for a job i'll probably want, but they won't be able to hire me for. f that.

hopefully they'll call at some point in the future. and i won't even tell you about how much work i went through to put together a packet of my writing samples and the stupid writing exercise they asked me to do. so.much.work. just wasted.

blah.

but enough whining. the good news? we bought a wii today. hooray! we've been trying to find one for months but they're always sold out everywhere all the time for ever and ever.

today, the stars aligned and i called the store 20 minutes after they got a delivery. so i zoomed on over there on my lunch break and bought one of the last ones. they sold out while i was standing there! only took a total of about 40 minutes. sheesh!

anyhoooo. so i got the console and some games and accessories. and we are going to ROCK THE WII this weekend. we have some friends coming over on saturday too. i'm pretty sure the only way that can end up is as a massive wii party. but we'll see.

i'm also hoping to convince the boy to buy a grill tonight or tomorrow morning so that we can grill up some deliciousness tomorrow.

i am going to be happy no matter how hard the misery tries to hold me down. dammit.
